| Czechoslovakia Goat Pitcher is 8.5" tall, in the traditional colors of yellow, black and red. The only paint wear is slight, around the top of one horn, shown in the pictures. The base carries the Erphilia Hand Painted Czechoslovakia mark. Erphila is short for the Philadelphia importing firm of Ebeling and Reuss of Philadelphia. Also on the base is the embossed number 1042, the word "Czechoslovakia", and a small "T". It is also signed. There are no chips, but shown in one picture below is a 1" hairline on the inside top, which does not extend to the outside. I did not discover it, until washing it at home. It does not detract from this marvelous piece which is so hard to find. It dates from 1918 – 1937. |
