Kay Finch was born to create. As a child, she was crazy about dogs and modeling them in mud from the back yard. She became a gifted sculptor and opened her studio in California, back in 1939. She went on to create some of the most detailed, curlicued dogs and animals of all times. Yorky Pup is an excellent example of her work. . There are very few of these around, as the raised-paw stance made them somewhat "tipsy" and subject to breakage. This one, however, is in excellent shape. He’s 5.5" tall and is marked with an incised F on the base. There are no chips, cracks or damage of any kind. Found elsewhere on the net for $249, the price on this one is only $175.
