| Sebastian Miniatures Swedish Boy and Girl were produced in 1948, during the Marblehead era, and only 500 were made of each. They show typical Marblehead yellowing, and they have great paint, although the pictures tended to glare it out a bit. The Swedish girl dancer has a tiny chip on the rim of the base, and while there is no chip on the end of her cap, there is a paint skip there. There are no stickers on the base, but the name is embedded around the base, along with copyright 1946. The Gold Book, put out in 2001 by the Sebastian Miniatures Club, shows their price to be $150 to $175 each – or $300 to $350. My price, however, is only half of the lowest price -- $150 for both! |
