Japan Boy and Girl date from around 1949, and each is marked Made In Japan, on the base. They are 8" tall and seem to be a little shy. I love how the colors of their clothing make everything come together – with the green of her skirt in his paint, the blue of his jacket in her scarf, the orange of her blouse in his vest, the pink of his shirt in her sash, the blond of his hair as it peeps out from under his cap just to match hers. Free of any chips, cracks or damage, this is a delightful pair to simply enjoy. |
