This is a rare antique Victorian wicker trumpet vase with ornate applied gesso throughout. The entire piece is decorated with elaborate intricate detail work. There are very interesting weave pattern changes along with swagged garlands of ribbons, roses, leaves and tassles. There is a glass insert to hold flowers. This beautiful tall Victorian wicker trumpet vase is heavy and substantial. It is in excellent original condition with old gold paint. Circa 1890's.
