Circa: 1890's Condition: Excellent Condition Size: Height-41 1/4" Width-19 1/2" Depth- 19 1/2" Manufacturer: Heywood Bros. and Wakefield Co. This is a very rare and ornate Victorian sheet music stand. The gallery is a combination of stick and ball work,curlicues and cane wrapping. The top is wood framed by braiding. Three sides of the music stand are heavily decorated with applied musical notes and musical designs made of reeds over the woven caning. The cabinet has a fancy original brass knob. The interior has 3 original wood shelves. The skirting is decorated with curlicues. The legs are shapely cabriole design wrapped with caning and ending in brass caps. The fine craftsmanship is evident throughout this rare cased piece. It has a cane wrapped cross stretcher for extra strength. This is an extremely rare and delightful antique wicker cabinet.
