English Ironstone Salt-Glaze Butterpat Wonderful vintage English Ironstone white salt-glaze butterpat. Unmarked, c.early to mid-1800's. Has the orange peel look typical of salt-glaze. 3 in. diameter. No chips, cracks or crazing, just a few light usage stains and light wear of raised areas. A lovely addition to any Ironstone or butterpat collection! Pratt & Simpson 1878 Eagle Tureen Vintage Pratt & Simpson 1878 eagle tureen, no lid. Marked with a fabulous brown transferware beehive mark and an impressed registry mark, which is partially illegible but has a letter D in the right side point for 1878. White glossy glaze with a bluish tint. Handles are molded with double eagle heads and wings. Probably made for the American market. 10 in. long. Condition-has crazing and some heavy usage staining, top edge has 1 small stress crack(see detail photo), opposite handle has an old damage glaze chip on the eagle head. No other major problems. Vintage Johnson Bros.Covered Vegetable Bowl Vintage c.1900+, Johnson Bros. white English Ironstone covered vegetable bowl. Marked with brown version of mark, also has raised pad mark Rd.No.886400. This is the same body design as Johnson's used for their flow blue Claremont pattern(see Gaston, p.63). Condition-bottom: no chips or cracks, light crazing. Lid: no chips, has crazing and a crack(see lid photo). 11 in.long x 6 3/4 in.wide x 5 in.high. A stunning piece despite damage! Johnson Bros.Ironstone Pearlware Sq.Bowl Vintage Johnson Bros. Royal Ironstone China. Tonal white pearlware, with most of the iridescence on the bottom. 7 3/4 inch square, 2 1/2 inch high. Scalloped edge. Has a glossy glaze which has been dulled by usage, several old damage glaze nicks on the top edge, and 1 corner has a dark crack/crazing which affects appearance but not usefulness or structure. This would be perfect for Civil War reenactors, especially civilian or camp setup!
