Vintage c.1920s-30s Art Deco Egyptian Cartouche
Vintage c.1920s-30s Art Deco Egyptian cartouche wall decoration, brass with black bakelite. Popular style when King Tut's tomb was originally discovered in the 1920's. No maker's marks. Not a modern reproduction. 10 in.high x 4 in.wide. Brass has lovely natural patina with a few spots of dampness corrosion(see photos)showing a high copper content used in older brass items. Bakelite has some tiny edge fleabite nicks, and some very light scratches, which are not too noticeable. It does have some warping that doesn't detract from its appearance. An unusual piece for any Art Deco decor! Shipping 2lb. zoned US priority mail including delivery confirmation, insurance is required. Other options are available.
