Vintage Johnson Bros.Covered Vegetable Bowl Vintage c.1900+, Johnson Bros. white English Ironstone covered vegetable bowl. Marked with brown version of mark, also has raised pad mark Rd.No.886400. This is the same body design as Johnson's used for their flow blue Claremont pattern(see Gaston, p.63). Condition-bottom: no chips or cracks, light crazing. Lid: no chips, has crazing and a crack(see lid photo). 11 in.long x 6 3/4 in.wide x 5 in.high. A stunning piece despite damage! Johnson Bros.Rouen 6 1/2 inch Plates & Sugar Marked Old Staffordshire, Johnson Bros., and a shield design with Pareek then Rouen on the bottom. Lot of 5-6 1/2 in. plates and a sugar bowl. Condition-sugar bowl has very minor wear, no cracks or crazing but does have an edge chip. Plates-there is crazing and normal usage wear on all, 1 has 2 tiny edge chips, 1 has a small under edge chip, 1 has a large chip and some staining, last 2 have 1 small edge chip each. No cracks. Johnson Bros.Ironstone Pearlware Sq.Bowl Vintage Johnson Bros. Royal Ironstone China. Tonal white pearlware, with most of the iridescence on the bottom. 7 3/4 inch square, 2 1/2 inch high. Scalloped edge. Has a glossy glaze which has been dulled by usage, several old damage glaze nicks on the top edge, and 1 corner has a dark crack/crazing which affects appearance but not usefulness or structure. This would be perfect for Civil War reenactors, especially civilian or camp setup! A very lovely pattern on a scalloped edge body. Condition-no stains, no crazing or cracks. Does have some utensil marks and 1 good sized top edge chip at one end w/corresponding underchip, 1 other underedge chip, a few raised areas have very thin or no glaze. 12 1/2 in.long x 9 1/4 in.wide.
