He has taken the breed at Westminster, Beverly Hills and twice at the International.

Ch. Boru's Erkloonook is the first Malamute in Canada to win Best in Show (Sept. 1967), owned and handled by Lorna Jackson.
Ch. Boru's Guy C.D., undefeated in the breed in 1967 is the second Malamute in Canada to win Best in Show, Dr. and Mrs. Kenneth Bourns.

Alaskan Malamute Dog 1979 Picture History
The Alaskan Malamute, one of the oldest Artic sled dogs, was named after the native Innuit tribe called Mahlemuts, who settled along the shores of Kotzebue sound in the upper western part of Alaska.
