Black and Tan Coonhound Dog 1979 Picture History
The Black and Tan Coonhound is an old breed as history is reckoned. In all probability he has descended from the Talbot hound which was known in England during the reign of William I, Duke of Normandy, in the eleventh century thence down through the Bloodhound and the Foxhound via this country's own Virginia Foxhound, frequently referred to as the ''black and tan.''

Bloodhound and Otterhound on one side and Norwegian Elkhound and Black-And-Tan (Coonhound) Hound on the other side, this page removed from a beyond repair 1934 book measures approximately 6 x 5 1/4 inches and would look great framed or part of a scrapping project. With the breed description of the 1930's it is super for the historian and makes a very nice inexpensive trophy for your specialty.
