BIG COLLAR* Vintage 40s Suit* LADIES* SWING* USO* TWEED
A bombshell of a womens suit from the vintage 40s era. A brownish wool tweed like fabric. Big shoulder pads and a big collar. Nipped in waist and single button close. Long arms but slender. Pretty bird shape pockets. A straight wiggle skirt with side zipper. A long length. The jacket is lined but not the skirt. There is no label. For costume theatre, swing dance, USO reenactment. I have pinned this on my mannequin for best look. Please measure yourself for best fit.
CONDITION: GOOD. JACKET HAS A FEW MOTH HOLES BUT NOT IN SEEN PLACES. SOME WEAR. SKIRT HAS A FEW MORE MOTH HOLES BUT NOT TO BAD. COULD BE MENDED.

WAIST: 26-27 INCHES
HIPS: 34-36 INCHES
SHOULDER TO SHOULDER IS 17 INCHES.
JACKET IS 25 INCHES LONG

1940s VINTAGE DRESS * BLK CREPE * BEADED ARROW * USO
WAIST: 24-27 INCHES
A dynamite vintage dress from the 1940s era. All black crepe fabric with wonderful detail. The bodice has white pearls, gold sequins and beads, and small clear rhinestones. All around the neck and to the side with an arrow. You will not need a necklace with this piece! Raglan cap sleeves and roomy through the bust. Just below the waist in front there are small gathers that extend around the hips only. Makes for a very swingy and fun to dance in dress. Has a self tie belt. There is a small zipper at back neck and a side zipper also. A label reads: Original by Irwin of New York. A sweetie of a dress for USO, swing dance, theatre, WWll. Fancy dance, reenactment. A true 1940s dress. Please measure yourself for best fit.
CONDITION: VERY GOOD. SOME VERY LIGHT, ALMOST NOT WORTH MENTIONING, FADING HERE AND THERE. BEADWORK AROUND NECK IS EXCELLENT. NO HOLES. SOME WEAR. PICTURES DO NO JUSTICE.
