| Incredible 5 pc Monster-Sized Aesthetic Movement bedroom suite c. 1890. This set is the Best of the Best! The quality and mass is second to none! All of the original solid brass pulls are dated March 6, 1878. It has the best aesthetic incised carving that I have ever seen. Nice turnings with other great carvings and fancy capitals on top of columns. Some of the best burl walnut designs. The center dresser drawer and two fancy cylinder roll jewelry boxes on top of the dresser are lined with purple velvet. Massive is the word for this Beautiful Set. The dresser mirror weighs at least 200 lbs. The crest on the bed and dresser are over 12" thick from front to back. Constructed of solid black walnut with the best burl walnut I have ever seen. The patterns are amazing with exotic designs, flowers, and birds. Very little wear to the drawer slides. This set could not have been used regularly. Dresser stands 107" tall x 21.5 deep x 56 wide. It has a secret drawer at the bottom of chest. Bed is 106" tall x 63 wide x 84 long. Inside measures 57 wide x 78 long. Foot-board is 6" thick and headboard is 12" thick. Full size mattress. This bed can be made to hold a queen mattress without too much trouble. Nice double door Armoire is 105" tall x 56 wide x 22 deep. Again the burl and incised carving is fabulous on the armoire. The interior of the armoire looks almost new. The set comes complete with 2 nightstands that are 36" wide x 20.5 deep x 30 tall. EXPAND TO KING-SIZE $5,500 |
