PEDRO GUERRERO BOX, 1990 Fleer Baseb...
1990 Donruss Baseball Cards - Box of ...
1992 DONRUSS Baseball Cards, Series Two
1993 TOPPS MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL CARD...

We started selling baseball cards in the store back in the early 1950s, when kids were anxious to buy the 25¢ and 35¢ card packs not only to see if they'd found Mickey Mantle or another star, but for the chewing gum inside -- and to have the flashy colorful cards to decorate their bicycle spokes! Since then, of course, the kids are not in the picture - most can't afford the amount charged for today's Cards and the gum is long gone. We have a few boxes left, however, and have decided to sell them here for the grown-up kid who 'remembers when,' for the collector who wants to finish a set, or the grandparent who wants a great gift for a special youngster!

1990 Fleer Baseball Cards - GRIFFEY JR. Box
This is a box of Series One of the 1990 TENTH ANNIVERSARY EDITION of FLEER baseball cards. Although the boxes then were not factory sealed, this has never been opened.

Featuring SAMMY SOSA and FRANK THOMAS rookie cards and second-year KEN GRIFFEY JR. and MARK McGWIRE cards, this box may include some of the cards now sold for enormous prices.

This box includes 36 packs (15 cards per pack) of cards and one team logo sticker.

A SPECIAL FEATURE of these boxes was the Fleer Limited Edition cards actually printed on the bottom of the box - this one includes cards of KIRBY PUCKETT, RUBEN SIERRA --- AND KEN GRIFFEY JR. - along with the logo of the Oakland Athletics.

The box, as noted, has never been opened or searched. We don't know whose cards are here - we do know you'll have a total of 540 baseball cards in mint condition! Plus, you'll have 36 more team logo cards. And you're guaranteed to have the Puckett, Sierra and Griffey Jr. cards from the box! It's a nice one!

Fleer, which along with Donruss, broke Topps' solitary hold on card-making in 1980, was actually no stranger to the market, having made baseball sets in the late 1950s and early '60s. Fleer also gave rise to such other brands as Flair, Ultra, and Fleer Brilliants. The Fleer brand, purchased by Marvel Entertainment in 1992, has since been merged into the Fleer/Skybox line.

1990 Upper Deck Baseball - Box of 36 Packs This is a box of Series One of the 1990 UPPER DECK COLLECTOR'S CHOICE cards, still factory sealed. The year was a great one for baseball - names such as Sammy Sosa and Frank Thomas burst upon the scene and Ken Griffey Jr. and Mark McGwire were entering their second year as players.

Some of the cards you may find in these packs now sell for enormous prices.

This box includes 36 packs (15 cards per pack) and are limited edition, high quality cards. A minimum of one 3-D Team Logo Hologram is in each pack. It is still SEALED in its original factory shrink wrap and has never been opened or searched.

We don't know whose cards are here - we do know you'll have a total of 540 baseball cards in mint condition!

According to one historian, Upper Deck's debut in 1989 made an enormous splash and heralded a new age in the hobby.

Physically, the Upper Deck baseball card was unlike anything that had come before in mainstream sports cards, featuring high-quality white card stock, action photos on both sides of the card and, of particular note, a hologram that was said to make the product virtually counterfeit-proof.

Combine those novel and intriguing features with its relatively expensive price tag, and you had a winner right off the bat! Although the brand was significantly more expensive per pack than existing brands, Upper Deck's arrival proved that the collecting public would support a well-crafted premium product.

1990 Donruss Baseball Cards - Box of 36 Packs

This is a box of the 1990 DONRUSS PUZZLE AND CARDS, still in the box and unsearched. The year was a great one for baseball - names such as Sammy Sosa and Frank Thomas burst upon the scene and Ken Griffey Jr. and Mark McGwire were entering their second year as players.

Some of the cards you may find in these packs now sell for enormous prices! This box includes 36 packs (16 cards and 3 puzzle pieces per pack). Cards for Ryne Sandberg and Carlton Fisk are shown on the box lid.

The set features the CARL YASTRZEMSKI puzzle, RATED ROOKIES and DIAMOND KINGS cards. This box is taped and not sealed, but we're not certain it ever was, early boxes were simply taped to prevent the packs from coming loose. In any case, the packs have never been opened or searched.

We don't know whose cards are here - we do know you'll have a total of 576 baseball cards in mint condition!

DONRUSS was the first company to obtain a baseball card license after an anti-trust lawsuit broke Topps' card-making stranglehold in 1980. The company produced its first set in 1981.

But within a few years, Donruss had emerged as a must-have product. Its 1984 set is considered the best set of that year and is Donruss' best baseball set ever. The pictorially-appealing set included two previously introduced subsets that would become hallmarks: painted "Diamond Kings" by noted sports artist Dick Perez of Perez-Steele Galleries depicting the best players in the game; and a string of top newcomers designated "Rated Rookies."

Recently acquired by Pinnacle, Donruss didn't release a mainstream set under its own name in 1999, leaving its future as an enduring baseball card brand in doubt.
