Local Advertising Phone Book Cover
This is an advertising phone book cover published, as nearly as we can tell, in the 1970s by Color Directory Advertising, Bettendorf, Iowa.
Featured on this cover are ads for 17 businesses in Marshalltown, Iowa. Many are no longer in business.

The cover is in Very Good condition with no defects we can find beyond a slight pull on the inside edges of the plastic where the book was inserted! The color ads are clean, crisp and very nice looking! A good reminder of some business names no longer around! (T2280)

Waterman Ideal Fountain Pen Ad
The WATERMAN IDEAL FOUNTAIN PEN is self-regulating due to the patented inimitable "Spoon Feed," according to this great vintage magazine ad. There's a great view of the pen itself, as well as the "Gold Pen Points to suit the characteristics of every hand." The ad measures about 6" by 8.5". It is mounted on cardboard and sealed under cellophane. It shows no defects and could easily be framed! Sorry, we don't know the exact date (probably early 1915 era) or the magazine from which it was selected, but the printing is a good quality and there is no fading. It is not a reprint! (t2009)

1960s Rexall Drug Store Sales Flyer
With a store stamp from the Schmidt Rexall Drug, Elkader, Iowa at the bottom, here’s a ‘Thank You’ sales flyer from the early 1960s showing various drug store products. Bottle of 36 Bufferin 59˘; Bobby Pins 15˘; Gillette World Series Razor, 79˘ – the prices are a wonderful reminder of simpler times! The flyer is in Very Good condition, with no defects on the face. On the reverse, someone has handwritten the recipe for ‘Beef with Gritz.’ (3009)
