Described as Interpretation on a Physiologic Basis, Clinical Electrocardiography was written by Manuel Gardberg,MD, Louisiana State University School of Medicine. Additional chapters were contributed by Richard Ashman, Irving Rosen and Louis Levy II. The 315-page hardbound book was published in 1957 by Paul B. Hoeber, New York.

In the Preface, Gardberg notes that the teaching of electrocardiographyt is difficult because students are not given the opportunity to visualize the process in its entirety.
