Vintage Pocket Tin, ASPERLINE Tablets
Here’s a great little pocket tin that held twelve tablets of Laymon’s ASPERLINE, made by Worlds Products, Spencer, Indiana. Probably from the 1950s-60s, this pain-reliever was a popular product!
The tin is empty, but in AS NEW condition with no dents, scratches or other defects! (4406)

NYTOL for Safe, Sound Sleep
Here’s a package of NYTOL non habit-forming tablets for a ‘safe, restful sleep.’ It’s the 18-tablet package, still factory-sealed, but probably holding a small medicine bottle inside. It was manufactured by Block Drug Co., as we remember, in the late 1950s. The box is a bit yellowed from age, but there are no visible defects otherwise. The original $1.25 price tag remains on the end.

Campho-Phenique Liquid Antiseptic
Carbolic acid and camphor in an aromatic oily solution is the description printed on this box of Campho-Phenique Pain-Relieving Antiseptic. The product was manufactured by the Centaur-Caldwell Division of Sterling Drug and was recommended for minor cuts, burns, razor nicks, scratches, abrasions, chafed or irritated skin, painful sunburn, pimples, acne, cold sores, fever blisters, athlete’s foot, poison ivy, poison oak, itchy insect bites. Quite a wonder drug!
The box contains the original green-glass bottle and instruction folder and is in Very Good condition with no apparent defects beyond slight shelf wear.

St.Joseph Mineral Oil -- By the Quart!
This is a 1-quart glass bottle that held St. Joseph Mineral Oil from St. Joseph Laboratories, made by Plough Inc., Memphis TN. The metal lid is painted orange to match the color of the glued-on label. ‘A high quality, white, non-clouding mineral oil for use as an intestinal lubricant laxative … tasteless and odorless’ ...with dosage information printed on the front. The bottle is about 8 inches tall and was probably from the 1940s. Some writing and a few small stains on the label. No other apparent defects on the Duraglas bottle. (6297)

SAN-MAN to Fall Asleep Quicker!
Another of the 1950s-60 sleeping aids, San-Man was manufactured by Plough Inc., was promised as a medically effective aid to sound sleep! It contained no narcotics and was non habit-forming, according to the box, which has no apparent defects beyond slight yellowing. Still sealed as it came from the factory, this one probably holds a small medicine bottle with the 30 tablets. The original 98-cent price tag was printed on the box end.

Distributed in an unmarked cloudy plastic vial with the label tucked inside, these MISTOL COLD CAPSULES were manufactured by Plough, Inc., Memphis TN. Obviously from before the days when over-the-counter medicines were tightly sealed, it contained 18 capsules and measures 1 inch diameter and 2 inches deep.

Here’s an original package of St. Joseph’s Nose Drops for Children, manufactured by Plough, Inc. Advertising that it contained Neo-Synephrine, the product was designed to offer temporary relief of nasal congestion and promote easier breathing in colds, hay fever, sinusitis, etc.
A wrapped eye dropper, instruction folder and the bottle of drops are contained in this little box … which show some edge/corner wear, but no other apparent defects. Original price of 69 cents was printed on the box.

Here’s a 24-pill package of ‘Strong, Effective Doan’s Pills – Analgesic for relief of Backache!’ The product was manufactured by Purex Corporation and, according to the label, the active ingredients are Magnesium Salicylate and Caffeine! Zinc Oxide Ointment for Skin Irritations
The box is a bit rough from age, but this is a tube of Norwich Pharmacal Company’s Zinc Oxide Ointment for the relief of discomfort due to minor skin irritations. The tube inside appears to have been flattened at some time, with the product leaking somewhat on the box from the inside. Still, they’re readable and an interesting product!
