Circa: 1967 Condition: Used Type: Stapled Publisher: Yankee Inc. Pages: 48
Designed as a gift for grocery store owners who sold their product, the manufacturers of CRISCO shortening provided special covers for this OLD FARMER'S ALMANAC for 1967. It is marked as the 175th continuous year of publication for the almanac and the 55th year of Crisco sales. The 48-page softcover book has most of the usual almanac content, but it's the Crisco ads that star here!
Unlike the company's consumer ads, these stress the popularity of the brand name, other items that are purchased and used with Crisco, and the fact that every year, grocery store customers buy so much Crisco that the cans would make a stack as high as 45,000 Empire State Buildings stacked on top each other.
Condition of the almanac is Very Good, with only very light cover scuffing. Inside pages show no defects. (2983) |
