The trips were made primarily by stagecoach, by Mississippi steamboat, and by the newly constructed railroads. Covered in this issue are his observations in Jones, Linn, Benton and Black Hawk Counties.
The issue contains illustrations from four Iowa newspapers in the State Historical Society’s newspaper collection. The issue is in Very Good condition with only minor corner wear to the covers and no apparent defects on inside pages. (4626)
