Well they're not really toothpicks, more like h'or d'oeuvre (appetizers) picks and they are quite charming with the Southwestern themed tops. 9 are marked Sterling and/or 925; the big one with the inset abalone is marked Alpaca. I never shine up old silver...it's up to you if you want them shiny. Average size: 3"; the large one is 3 3/4"
