It all stated when the Rawsons built a country home in Michigan . In order to give it their own personal touch and to reflect their style, it had to be furnished with just the right pieces befitting their Americana taste. Fondly recalling that time, Vaughn says,"...we wanted part of us to be in the house, as opposed to having workmen do it all. We shared in it." So, instead of buying furniture, Vaughn began to make it himself. By doing so, they found that Vaughn was a gifted wood carver."
