Renowned outsider and folk artist Cathey Kalista declares as she ages she feels younger "I’m going backward in life" she says. This is one of the reasons she signs her paintings and creations "YEHTAC" Cathey spelled backwards. Cathey’s art is a combination of self taught painter and found objects. Wood gets a new life as a landscape, often depicting row houses from her native Paterson New Jersey.
Cathey is a featured artist in the book "Extraordinary Interpretations: Florida’s
Self-Taught Artists" , by the scholarly agency University Press of Florida.

Outsider folk art Pearl Ralowsky Oil Flowers and Pixies New York Artist Pearl Ralowsky, 16" x 20" stretched canvas panel.
Exquisite floral composition! Massed snowy white and muted tone flowers on a deep blue and aquamarine background, all cascading from a turquoise vase in the lower left portion of the painting. The most appealing aspect are the 2 small pixies standing in front of the vase gazing upward. Painting is signed in the lower left corner and on the back. African American Children Watercolor Outsider Folk Art Enormous 33" x 39" what appears to be a watercolor painting. Paper looks like parchment but not sure. It is very stiff and cant be rolled, it has natural folds and creases on the surface when viewed up close. It also is somewhat translucent when held up to the light. Painting is signed Francesca in lower left corner. There is a very tiny ¼" tear on middle bottom edge as shown in picture. If you have any question please email me.
