This is a silverplated plaque that measures 4.5 in. tall and is 4 in. wide. The letters stand for Ancient Order of United Workmen. This association had a lot of Masonic attributes of a Fraternal Benefit Society. I think this may have been a plaque from a meeting room or off a door. Not sure how it was used. In good, displayable condition. Just needs a bit more cleaning and polishing. Vintage could be from the early years of the 1900's. |
