Colorful French Hand Painted Jar
Absolutely wonderful early FRENCH ointment pot/jar! This is most likely a cosmetic pot, since its beautifully decorated. The pot is HAND PAINTED with a gorgeous sepia brown hand painted scene of a CASTLE, outlined in vibrant green, the rest of the pot is decorated with a gorgeous bright yellow with panels of rose pink chintz roses outlined with the lovely green. The design of the pot is classical & most elegant. It measures about 2 inches high, 2 1/2 inches across the top and the base measures slightly more than 1 1/2 inches across. This exquisite piece has the following markings R/M with a line underneath, 27 France this is all handwritten as can be viewed in the second image. There is a light green mark, however it's most difficult to make out. This is a delightful early French porcelain example that would fit perfectly into one's French porcelain collection or Limoges especially the miniatures. It's the miniature Limoges boxes that are using pieces as this example for their inspirations-the same beautiful rich colors. Lovely addition to one's collection.

Beautiful fancy handpainted teapot trivet. This trivet is footed and has raised design on the feet. It is beautifully hand painted and dates from about the 1930s. It is signed with the green Noritake mark. In excellent condition, with tiny bit of gold loss to the edge trim. Displays beautifully and is a prize for the trivet or Noritake collector!
