DECO BURSLEY WARE DRAGON VASE LUSTREWARE RHEAD
A fabulous example of antique Bursley Ware in the Dragon pattern in the yellow lustreware finish, very similar to Wedgwoods Fairyland Lustre. This is designed by Frederick Rhead for Bursley Ware in the Dragon pattern, circa 1910-30s
Frederick Rhead was the father of Charlotte Rhead.
Depicts a striking hand decorated chinese dragon in blue, green, red against a bright yellow lustre background.
Its a stunning piece and would look great in any art deco or Rhead collection. The vase measures a little over 6 inches, in a bulbus shape having a circumference of almost 19 inches. In wonderful condition-no chips, cracks or repairs. A great example of pottery to add to your collection!
