LOVELY PAIR of WHITEWORK VINTAGE PILLOWCASES
Beautiful vintage pair of hand made pillowcases circa 1920s-1930s in fabulous condition. The beautiful pair of pillowcases has lovely white work embroidery . The pillowcases measure about 20 inches wide by 31 inches long. One case has tiny area of pin size specs from storage just needs to be soaked a bit otherwise perfect ( may have slight yellowing on folds from sitting in a linen closet) since they are direct from an estate that we purchased many fine linens.
A lovely set of pillow cases to decorate with and add to your collection of fine linens and lace.

Sweet Antique Baby Pillow Sham Embroidery Appliqué & Openwork. Sweet antique circa 1920s baby pillow sham. This soft cotton sham has very pretty appliqué flowers in pink and green, adorned with hand embroidery and openwork. Two tiny lustrous mother of pearl buttons close the back. It measures about 16 inches by 12 ½ inches, in very nice condition, one tiny pinhole at the back, otherwise perfect. Displays beautifully! A choice addition to ones collection

Victorian Linen Large Pillow Shams Monogram
During the Victorian period, status largely was dependent on how well the stay at home wife maintained her home and whether or not she had a generous supply of snowy white household linens done in exquisite needlework This beautiful pair of crisp sparkling white Victorian linen envelope pillow shams are such an example. Indeed these came from an affluent Victorian household. The linen is luxurious and the workmanship is wonderful, raised white on white embroidery work with a monogram G. Sets like these are difficult to find especially a pair. The condition is excellent; one has 2 pinholes side by side on the flap, so not easily seen unless held up to a light, otherwise perfect. They each measure about 23 inches by 28 inches. These are to cherish!
