What a great vintage kitchen collectible! It is a cast aluminum utensil that you heat and brand toast (or an obnoxious guest or whatever) with the words "Good Morning". It was made by the Crowfutt Company which is a now defunct company well known in Philadelphia for its metalware. It is stamped on the top: CROWFUTT and TOP. It measures 9.5" tall and 3.25" across the branding part. It is in excellent condition. The handle screws into the base. I would estimate it to be at least 50 years old.
