| I've always viewed the heating and airconditioning vents in newer houses as eyesores. If you were to check Kathryn McNerney's book, Antique Iron Identification and Values, a similar but smaller grate, alone, is valued at $315-$325. This one in addition has an antique slate surround that is marbleized and has partially bevelled edges. This grate is in good condition as is the slate. It measures approximately 14" tall and 10" wide. In the slate surround it measures approximately 18.5" tall and 14.5" wide. I have another grate with a larger slate surround in currently listed. Buyer to pay actual shipping and insurance. I have many other great (pun intended)items (mostly antique) listed. |
