| The sale is for one of the oldest cough drop tins that Luden's made. They were at their Reading, Pa. location from 1892 to 1910. I believe the outside is brass and it has a very deco look with peripheral dental decoration. It is marked: W W H LUDEN INC READING PA on the inside. The top has a circular impressed seal with SUPER DELUXE surrounded with the words LUDEN'S MENTHOL COUGH DROPS in a circle with each word separated by a florette.It is in excellent condition with the compact-type closing mechanism in good working order and measures 2.6" by 2.25" and about .375" high at the edges. It is tarnished and I'm sure would shine nicely (which I will leave to the eventual owner; I like old things to look old). Buyer to pay actual priority shipping and insurance. |
