  Gibson Marbles

Gibson Marbles

Charles Gibson is a marble master whose work has been on display in the National Marble Museum. He worked for both Blenko and Bischoff Glass before opening his own studio in 1982, where he produced a wide variety of blown, mold-blown, and hand-crafted glass items. Sad to say, he closed the doors in 2006, so here's your chance to see some of his vintage marble work. We also have one of his figurines in our art glass category, Item #G344, which you may wish to view.

Gibson Marble This Gibson marble is in the 'onionskin' design. Clear glass over red, white & blue center. 1.75 inches in diameter. Dates back to 1989. The glass has two flaws that are difficult to see but can be felt. Not cracks, but flaws that I believe were original to the piece.

Gibson marble Another onionskin Gibson marble. 1.75 inches in diameter. Orange, yellow, green with a touch of white. Dates back to 1989. Like the other onionskin marble, there are fine marks in the glass that I believe are original and not signs of wear. Difficult to see, but they can be felt.
