Caithness Princess Diana Wedding paperweight Caithness Glass Ltd of Scotland was founded in 1960 and they have been producing paperweights since 1969. We also have weights by two of their former artists, William Manson (and see PW187 below), and Peter Holmes of Selkirk Glass.

This piece was produced by artist Colin Terris (for 33 years he was the lead designer at Caithness Glass and in 1991 he was created a Member of the Order of the British Empire for his contribution to British Glass) as Congratulations for the Royal Wedding of Prince Charles and Princess Diana in 1981. 1,000 paperweights were issued in the U.S. It features red, white and blue spiral rods and spiral bubbles in clear glass above a frosted base. On the bottom is inscribed Caithness Scotland, Congratulations, The Marriage of the Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer, 29/7/81. I also have the original box and a numbered certificate of authenticity, Ser. #A22238. At 3 inches x 2.5, it is in mint condition.

Caithness Moonflower paperweight by Colin Terris Featuring the artist's impression of an extra-terrestrial plant, this paperweight is 3 inches x 2.5 with a cobalt blue freeform above a smoky ground with separated bubbles. Includes original box and certificate of authentication. Inscribed on the bottom Caithness Scotland Moonflower plus original Caithness sticker. Produced circa 1982. In mint condition.

Correia Paperweight from 1986 Correia Art Glass of Santa Monica, California, has been in operation since 1973, and their fine works are on display in such musuems as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Smithsonian, the Corning Museum of Glass and more. Please note, we also have paperweights by former Correia artist, Chris Buzzini, in his own category.

Frosted exterior with one polished sloping facet revealing three 5-point bindweed flowers above green vines and leaves on very dark blue ground. On the bottom is etched 1986 L.E. WCLMG 29/200 Correia. 2.75 inches x 3, in mint condition.

Terry Crider paperweight Lovely paperweight by Terry Crider. 3 inches in diameter, 2.5 inches high. This one is a dark green iridescent with a pulled design resembling waves with pale lavender raised thread. Signed Terry Crider 1989.

1984 Paperweight by Leonard Di Nardo Leonard DiNardo studied at the prestigious Penland School in North Carolina in 1976, and has taught at Penland, the Hinckley School of Crafts in Maine and the renowned Pilchuck Glass Center in Washington. He was recently chosen by Movado to collaborate with Ubaldo Vitali, possibly the foremost silversmith in the world, on an artglass series to be featured in the upscale Movado boutiques.

This paperweight is named Desidera #1 and features blood-red glass with black figured overlay. At magnum size, 3.5 inches x 3.25, it is signed Leonard Di Nardo 1984 Desidera #1. In mint condition.
