J Glass - John Deacons - St. Kilda

"J" Glass was formed in 1979 in Crieff, Scotland, by John Deacons, who chose his company's name to honor the unknown creator of certain nineteenth-century Bohemian weights. We also have a John Deacons paperweight from his St. Kilda days.

PW193

J Glass (John Deacons) small butterfly weight Green, red and white butterfly on black ground, 2 inches x 1.75. One of not more than 101, produced in 1978. Identifying "J" cane, too small to photograph properly (I had to use a magnifying glass to read the "J"!)

PW481

J Glass by John Deacons, early paperweight, 1978 Patterned millefiori in red, white & blue, extremely tiny star-shaped canes forming six flower-like designs encircling a seventh. "J" signature cane without date, thus probably produced in 1978. One of not more than 101. I've seen a lot of "J" glass online, but never in this pattern. 2.25 inches x 1.75, in mint condition.

John Deacons St. Kilda Paperweight Miniature paperweight made by John Deacons during his St. Kilda period, c. 1982. Millefiori canes in pink & blue concentric circles around green center on mottled purple base. Six circular side facets, one top facet. Signature StK cane in center (extremely tiny, I had to use a magnifying glass to read it and could not get a close-up enough photo, but I do promise it's there). 1.75 inches x 1.375, in mint condition. Made in Scotland sticker on bottom.
