Manufacturer: Northern Star Steve Smyers opened his first glass studio in Chico, California under the name of Northern Star Glass. In 1971 he relocated to Benicia California and in 1979 he changed the studio name to Smyers Glass and began specializing in stemware production. His award-winning designs are included in the Smithsonian Collection, the White House and The Corning Museum of Glass as well as many celebrated private collections.
This beautiful paperweight, made by Steve Smyers in 1979 during his Northern Star period, features two white blossoms with red centers on a blue iridescent field with dark blue threads (not raised).
