This paperweight by Steve Smyers looks completely different from our other two and no wonder, it was made over a decade later, in 1987. A wonderful example of the development of the artist's craft and interest. This paperweight, 3-1/4 inches in diameter and 3 inches tall, has an internal web network of red threads under a crystal case, with precisely placed bubbles. Beautiful complexity of design. There's one small facet used as a base, and another larger facet for viewing the interior of the weight. Signed by the artist and marked PW 596 - '87.
