Glass egg with contemporary art glass marble style spiral ribbon design. 1.375 inches by 2.125 inches. I'm not sure who the artist is, but my parents bought this in 1988 at the Light Opera Gallery. My guess is it was made by someone who specialized in marbles, such as Steven Maslach or Jody Fine, but I have no verification. The ribbon is black with a bluish-violet stripe on one side, and white with red, pale pink and aqua stripes on the other side. It is not signed and does not have a faceted bottom, so it could not be used as a paperweight, but very lovely in a stand.
