Manufacturer: Baccarat
Baccarat, along with St. Louis, was one of the classic crystal works in France in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Two world wars tended to destroy the crystal works, but Baccarat started up again in the 1950's, with sulphides (porcelain-paste medallions), millefiori, and lampwork weights.
Magnum-sized Baccarat paperweight, 3.25 inches x 2.25. Yellow and white double overlay with top facet and 5 side facets, radial fluting on bottom. Inside, millefiori mushroom in red, white blue and yellow. Baccarat logo and 1973 double-etched on bottom. Also signature B cane with 1973 on it. In mint condition.
