Circa: 1940s Condition: Used Type: Vintage Lamp Manufacturer: L.E. Smith Performing Ballerinas boudoir figural Art Deco period lamp. This lamp has 2 ballerinas in fired on glass in blue. The lamp is listed on page 174 of Bedroom and Bathroom Glassware of the Depression Years book by Margaret and Kenn Whitmeyer. It is also listed on page 298 of the book L.E. Smith Glass Company: The First One Hundred Years: History, Identification And Value Guide and the book states made by L.E.

Smith in 1940s. This lamp is missing the prisms with would be easy to replace. It also has a replacement blue cloth shade which looks very nice as the original is a globe. All 3 of the glass parts are original to the piece. There is rust to the metal hardware part and cord is in working order but one may want to replace it. Lovely boudoir or vanity table lamp. |
