So cute bookends with black mark no.1 Japan on the bottom. Produced during the 1930s I believe and are listed with different colors on page 159 of Carole Bess White Collectors Guide to Made in Japan Ceramics.
Southern Belles with pretty vintage green gowns or dresses and bonnet hats and gentlemen with yellow suis and a top hat with canes and one carrying of course a bouquet of flowers for courting. |
