| Fabulous Art Deco period teaset by Palissy. Palissy is manufactured by Royal Worcester of England which began in 1946.. The trade name was used by A. E Jones (Longton) Ltd who began in about 1905 and traded from Palissy Pottery from 1930. I believe this was made during this time period. This Fall set has rust, gold, black and gray colored leaves that adorn all the pieces in dramatic design. Art Moderne with angular handles on the cups and the teapot is so dramatic with same angular handle. In all 23 pieces make up this set with a teapot with underplate, creamer, sugar, and 6 trios. This 1920s china teaset does have a few issues. The creamer has a small chip on the bottom, one cup is cracked, one cup has 2 small chips along the rim and one has a small chip on the base. The sugar bowl is cracked and has a chip on the base. Overall a beautiful set for the Autumn or Fall season or anytime of year. |
