Vintage woman's suit Fabulous early 60's red 3 piece suit. Unsure of fabric - maybe a wool/cotton woven blend. It is soooo Jackie O. The jacket has a fur collar but I'm not sure if fur is real or not. It has a hidden 3 snap closure with a false same fur button. Sleeve length is 23" from neck to cuff. Length of jacket 24". The top has little cap sleeves. There is a full metal zipper in the back. Bust 34", Length 18" from shoulder to hem. The skirt has a red satin front lining. Great suit.

50's Abstract cocktail suit Wow, this is pure 50's at its best. The material in this 2-piece suit has a satin feel to it. The print is pure abstract art. The jacket has all the interesting details you could ask for from the era. This brown-on-tan jacket is double-breasted and has 2 buttons and hook and eye closure. Shoulder pads are reminiscent of the 40's. The 5 inch peplum has 2 small pockets just the size to carry a lace hanky and gloves. The peplum itself is lined with an interfacing giving it a special quality. The jacket has all 5 original buttons. Measurements are 34 inch bust, 16 inches across the back, the 18 1/4 inch length sleeves measured from the natural shoulder. This jacket would look great worn with jeans today. The matching skirt has a 28 inch waist with a 7 inch metal side zipper. The skirt measures 30 inches from the top of the waisband to the hem. There is an 8 1/2 inch pleat on the back. A tank top would be so fun paired with this skirt. Overall this is just a great 50's look. The lable reads L'Aiglon 12 1/2.

Click for more detail...
wsuh310
3 Piece 1950's Beaded Cocktail Suit This suit is fantastic. This was either a cocktail suit or a mother-of-the-bride. Today, the pieces look just as great mixed with jeans or a sweater as they do together. The jacket has 3/4 sleeves and is worn open. It is fully lined with a matching lining. The label reads Roma, Gino Rossi, U.S.A. The blue of the suit just does not photograph well. It is a beautiful light weight dressy fabric with a sheen to it. The bust measurement on the jacket is 36 inches and it measures 15 inches from shoulder to shoulder in the back. The jacket measures 23 inches from the back neckline to the hem. The suit blouse or top is a work of art. It is beautifully beaded with silver grey seed and bugle beads and then accented with pearls and blue rhinestones. This is just a striking piece all by itself and can be worn with a variety of pieces. The top is sleeveless and closes down the back with a 18 inch metal zipper. The bust measurement is 34 inches and it is 20 inches from back neckline to the hem. There are 2 side vents at the waistline that gives this piece a real 50's flair. The matching skirt is straight and is also fully lined in a matching fabric. The skirt closes with a 7 inch metal side zipper. The waist measures 28 inches; the hips, 38 inches and the length is 21 inches from the bottom of the waistband to the hem. The color, the beading and the workmanship add up to one fantastic suit, just right for the holidays.

1940's Tailored Brown Check Suit Oh, this suit is fantastic. It's from the 1940's and is wonderful. The tailoring and extra touches are just superb. The jacket is completely lined in a deep brown lining that matches the deep brown tiny checks of the suit. The shoulders are padded and the jacket is double breasted with 6 matching covered buttons. The jacket has 3 faux pockets and a nipped in waist for a very flattering look. The bust measures 38 inches and 17 inches across the back. The sleeves measure 23 inches in length. The jacket measures 27 inches from back neckline to the hem. The inside label reads Fashion Colony, Boston Store, Milwaukee. On the inside of one of the jacket sides is a rectangular piece of lining measuring 4 inches by 2 1/2 inches. This looks original to the jacket but I haven't any idea why it is there. The skirt is a tailored a-line and is unlined with a 7 inch side metal zipper. The waist measures 27 inches and the hips measure 37 inches. The skirt is long measuring 29 1/2 inches from the bottom of the waistband to the hem. The front hem has a 3 1/2 inch v-opening. I'm not sure what the material is. It could be a lightweight wool or even a gaberdine blend.
