1920's Beaded Black and Pink Dress Here is an outstanding example of the 1920's dress. It has an extravagant collar of victorian beading, gold stitching, gold and green beads. The body of the dress is a sheer black with underlying sheer pink peeping through along eyelets on either side of the dress and a border at the bottom with black fringe hanging towards the hem of the dress. The black and pink theme is repeated at the ribbon waist. The back has a double row of hook and eye closures, one row on the bodice pink underlay and another row down the black. Some repairs have been made over the years but still in wearable condition but frail. I'd recommend displaying. Bust 38-40, waist 34. Length from shoulder to hem 50 inches.

1920's Sheer Flapper Evening Dress Beaded This is an absolutely fabulous beaded evening dress from the 1920's. And, it is perfectly wearable today. The dress falls straight from the shoulder to your ankle. It measures 51 inches from shoulder to hem. Beads decorate the neckline, the scalloped hemline and the edges of the sleeves. There is a floral beaded design that runs down the front and the back. These designs are done in black seed beads. At the hips, a starburst design is done in black bugle beads. This whole dress seems to shimmer when you move. The dress is in a wonderful wearable size. The bust measures 42 inches as do the hips. The sleeves are an open butterfly design with an 11 inch sleeve opening. The back measures 15 inches from shoulder to shoulder. The dress is chiffon and very sheer. The photos were taken with a black slip beneath the dress. There is a little wear on the front of the dress and some bead loss but you have to look closely to see it. If you love the flapper era, this is the dress for you.

30's Sailor 2-piece Pure 30's. What a wonderful outfit. This is just pure 30's fun. You can almost picture Ginger Rogers in this outfit. The pants are unbelievable. The waist measures 33 inches with a 2 inch wide waistband with belt loops. Three mother of pearl type buttons are on each side. Each button is 7/8 inch wide. The pants measure 44 inches from the top of the waistband to the hem. The flare of the pants are an astonishly 38 inches wide at the hem. Three black bands run around each leg om graduated widths. The first band is 3/4 inch wide; the second, 1 1/8 inch wide and the third is 1 5/8 inches wide. The material seems to be an offwhite flannel. The matching vest is worn open and the inside interfacings are a matching black material. The vest measures 18 inches across the back and 18 inches from the back of the neckline to the hem. The outfit does have wear with a couple of small stains on the pants and a few small holes but what a 30's statement.

1930's Evening Dress Wow! Are you ready for this? This is a rose colored, rhinestone trimmed evening dress. Actually the previous owner said she wore this dress to tea dances held every Sunday afternoon at a local hotel tea room. In the 30's she wore a ruffled white blouse under the dress. Today it's up to you. The dress is definitely for a petite lady. It measures 30 inches, 26 inches, and 32 inches. The shawl collar narrows from 3 1/2 inches wide in the back to 2 inches wide at the waist. Three rows of rhinestones trim the bodice as well as one floppy flower. There should be 2 but one got lost over the years. The dress is cut on the bias and measures 55 inches long from the shoulder to the hem. It measures 14 inches across the back. The pictures do not do this dress justice. There is all the 30's styling and detailing you could hope for in a dress of this kind.

1920's Sheer Beaded Blouse The is a great 1920's sheer beaded blouse. It has great style and is very wearable today. The blouse measures 34 inches in the bust and has a rounded neckline that closes with 3 snaps. The neckline is trimmed with three bands of beading. The 12 inch sleeves are also trimmed with 3 bands of beading. The blouse measures 16 inches from shoulder to hem in the front and 20 inches from neckline to hem in the back. The front is decorated with a beaded starburst design and is slightly gathered at the sides 3 1/4 inches from the hem. There the beading is in a zigzag pattern. There are two 15 1/2 inch ties that tie in the back. This is a perfect blouse for jeans or for an evening skirt. it is in great condition and very wearable. The photos do not do justice to this blouse. There are a few beads missing in the pattern. This is a piece not to be passed up for the collector or just for a very special evening.

1920's Sheer Brown Beaded Blouse Oh yes, this is perfect for summer and for fall. The brown 20's blouse has an art deco beaded design on the front and around the neckline in the back. A good size too. The bust measures 42 inches and the hips 39 inches. It was designed to fall straight to the hips. The front measures 23 inches from shoulder to hem and 19 1/2 inches from the scooped neckline to the hem. There is one snap for closing at the neckline. The back measures 23 1/4 inches from neckline to hem. The sleeves are 13 inches long from the natural shoulder and are trimmed with 2 rows of beading. A slit also trims the sleeves and extends 3 3/4 inches to the hem of the sleeve. There is gathering at the hipline 4 1/2 inches from the hem. The material is fragile but it is still wearable. The photos show the blouse over a 60's white miniskirt but it would look great with jeans or an evening skirt just as well. This is a truly great collectors piece. The beaded design on the front is all art deco.

flh8010
Deep Pink, Gold Lace Beaded Flapper Dress There are few things as easily recognizable than the short, beaded dresses of the 1920's flapper era. This is one of the best. The dress is a deep fuchsia pink chiffon dress with beading that weighs nearly a full pound on its own. The dress has a bust measurement of 34 and a hip measurement of 36/38 inches. It has a side closing of 9 tiny snaps from underarm to hip. The top is plain until just above the hips where there are butterfly insets of gold lace. Each butterfly is outlined in 3 rows of silver-colored and deep pink beads. Five deep pink flowers are centered in the lace and each flower has a rhinestone center. These tiny flowers are also scattered over the dress. The hip is outlined with three rows of pink and silver beading and then is full from the hips to the scalloped hem. The scalloped hem is outlined in three rows of beading and the gathered skirt has beading in the form of vines with the tiny pink and rhinestone flowers at the end of each vine. Each of the 8 lace inserts around the skirt is outlined with beading as are the four lace inserts above the hips. There is wear on the dress and it would need additional support if you were to wear it. The skirt measures 19 inches from the hips to the hem. It is a wonder that such a fragile and colorful dress has survived. It was a treasured heirloom and should certainly enhance someone's collection.

1920's Lace overblouse If you're looking for a one of a kind piece, this is it. The fabulous overblouse or tunic is openweave with a jewel neckline. This is a very delicte pattern and yet the piece itself is very sturdy. The jewel neckline is banded in a brown ribbon. The first 8 inches are lined. The lining in the back is hemmed but it isn't in the front. The lining itself is starting to give way but the tunic is in beautiful condition. The tiny lingerie ribbons and snaps are still in place at the shoulders. The bust measures 38 inches and the hips, 44 inches. From the front neckline to the bottom is 27 inches and the back measures from neckline to bottom, 28 1/2 inches. The bottom of the tunic overblouse is not hemmed. The naural scalloping of the lace makes up the edge. The sleeve measures 24 inches and the pattern runs up the sleeves almost to the shoulder. I have never seen another piece quite like this. It is so delicate and feminine and yet so wearable. I took the photos of the blouse on a dress form which has a blue covering. This makes the beige of the blouse really stand out and you can see how open the weave is. This is one for a collection.

1920's Sheer Flapper Dress Sheer and romantic. This 1920's flapper day dress has pink flowers on a black background. The material is a chiffon. The dress just seems to float from the 14 inch cape collar to the 7 inch back hem. The bust measurement is 34 inches and the hip measurement is 36 inches. The dress is designed to fall straight from your shoulders to the hips where it flares out. The dress measures 42 inches from the back neckline to the hem. The v-neckline is wonderfully defined by this cape collar. While the dress is sleeveless, the collar forms a cape that brushes your shoulders. What a fun dress for any summer party.

1920's Sheer Lace Flapper Dress Pretty in sheer pink lace. This is a wonderful full length pink lace flapper gown. Pink lace defines the neckline and makes up the little cap sleeves. There are 2 ruffles at the bust and another ruffle at the hips. The measurements are 28 inches for the bust and because there is a lot of stretch to the material it stretches to a comfortable 32 inch bust. The waist measures 24 inches and the hips measure 26 to 34 inches. The length is 46 inches from the back neckline to the hem. The skirt is made up of pink lace.
