| This is a terrific black wool jacket with details that will make you stand out in the crowd. There are 3 fabric covered buttons down the front and satin border around the collar but the 4 satin bands that run completely around the jacket make this piece extraordinary. The bands are sewn on in a scalloped design and are outstanding. The jacket is a small size measuring 34 inches at the bust and 26 inches at the waist. The sleeves are 24 inches long from the shoulder to the bottom of the cuff. The cuff itself measures 2 1/4 inches wide and each cuff is banded in the same black satin. The back measures 13 inches from shoulder to shoulder and 15 inches from the back of the neckline to the bottom of the jacket. There is very little wear on the jacket. The back of the collar, one button and the topstitching along 2 inches of the side are showing signs of age but nothing significant. The jacket is fully lined in a satin material. This is just a wonderful jacket that could be worn today in a variety of ways. |
