There is very fine white on white embroidery on this c1900 dress. This dress was originally used as a wedding dress in Sheboygan county, Wisconsin. The top of the dress features white on white embroidery and lace. The bust measurement is about 30/32 and the waist measures 22 inches. The white on white embroidery decorates the back of the dress with just a touch of lace around the neckline. The sleeves are 3/4 length and measure 13 inches with embroidery and two touches of lace. The skirt is tightly gathered around the hips with three rows of piping. The skirt measures 34 inches from the bottom of the waistband to the hem. The bottom 18 inches are decorated with embroidery all around the dress. The material is a lightweight summer handkerchief material. The dress is in very good condition. The hip measurement of the dress is 32 inches. The dress closes down the back with 12 hooks and eyes. This is a very pretty Edwardian dress for a petite lady that could be used again as a wedding dress. |
