| This is an absolutely fabulous beaded evening dress from the 1920's. And, it is perfectly wearable today. The dress falls straight from the shoulder to your ankle. It measures 51 inches from shoulder to hem. Beads decorate the neckline, the scalloped hemline and the edges of the sleeves. There is a floral beaded design that runs down the front and the back. These designs are done in black seed beads. At the hips, a starburst design is done in black bugle beads. This whole dress seems to shimmer when you move. The dress is in a wonderful wearable size. The bust measures 42 inches as do the hips. The sleeves are an open butterfly design with an 11 inch sleeve opening. The back measures 15 inches from shoulder to shoulder. The dress is chiffon and very sheer. The photos were taken with a black slip beneath the dress. There is a little wear on the front of the dress and some bead loss but you have to look closely to see it. If you love the flapper era, this is the dress for you. |
