What a wonderful little 1940's cocktail or doll hat that was so popular before and during World War 2. You can almost picture Ginger Rogers wearing this out on the town with Fred Astair. This little black number was meant to be worn forward. The veil then would be over the forehead and eyes. There is a little elastic band to wear under your hair to hold the hat in place. This one has a slight military air about it. It has a rolled brim that measures 1 1/2 inches in the front and 2 inches on the side. The high crown, 4 inches high, is decorated with 2 black satin bows. The inside of the hat is oval, not round, and measures 18 inches. The lable inside reads New York Creation, Adjustable. The hat is also marked as 100% wool and made in the U.S.A. This is truly a darling creation and would make a great addition to any collection.
