Circa: early 1900's Manufacturer: Engchamps Made in France
Beautiful little early 20th century beaded purse made in France. The background is made up of tiny white seed beads and the design is made of silvery grey seed beads. The original beige lining with the original label is still intact. The frame is painted brass. The color is a cream colored white. Some of the paint has chipped from the clasp and shows brass underneath. The single chain handle measures 4 1/2 inches from the frame and was originally a match to the frame. Some of the color can still be seen on the chain links. The purse measures 4 inches across the frame and 5 inches at its widest. The bag measures 4 3/4 inches long. The label inside reads Engchamps Made in France. The only flaws are a few small missing beads right along the frame and a spot on the center of the beadwork on one side of the purse. This is an lovely early beaded bag and it is in wonderful display condition as well as being sturdy enough to use.
