This interesting early collectible is all wood with a heavy wire connector holding the handles. There is a slight bend in one dn of the wire that needs to bent back so the handle sits a little cockeyed. Very little wear on the red handles. Dia. of th pin is about 1 3/4" Not sure of the hard wood type. Length is 15 1/2". Fresh from an early Connecticut estate. -kitchen utensil-
