This cheery oyster plate with six radial wells, plus a center sauce well, has lovely mold detail, which is adorned with alternating floral decorations in each of the oyster wells. A fine trim line around the outside of the plate picks up the red hues from the floral designs. The mark is that of Keller & Guerin, Luneville, France. Buy this lovely plate, in excellent condition, for display. It makes me smile. This plate with decoration under glaze is also hearty enough to use, without worry. This plate is from the same mold, with similar decoration to the plate featured by Jeffery B. Snyder (Collecting Oyster Plates) on p. 98, with an estimated value of $250-350.
