This lovely unsigned plate is in perfect condition. It has a beautiful floral transfer decoration on fine porcelain, which is characterized by its detailed relief work and marvelous translucence. We date this piece somewhere between 1881 and 1918. There is little doubt but that it came from the famous C. E. Carstens/Weimar factory in Germany, because the porcelain mold exactly matches one our other listings, which is clearly marked with the Weimar shield (see item WR003A). Whether for display or loving use, this fine antique porcelain oyster plate, in mint condition, would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
