This is a magnificent andpainted artist-signed Limoges fish set. This 11 piece set is marked LS & S and Coiffe Limoges France on the back and is signed by the artist, Pecot, to the face.
The marks date this set to the 1890's or 1900.
This set comprises an enormous platter, which measures 23 1/2 inches by 10 3/4 inches , 8 plates,measuring 9 1/2 inches in diameter, and a sauce with an underplate which measures 9 1/2 inches by 6 1/2 inches. All have a pale green ground accented in gold with handpainted scenes of fish in peach, gray, and green.
This set is in superb condition. The gold is in beautiful condition. There is a professional repair to the bottom of the underplate. The repair in no way detracts for the beauty and elegance of this set.
What a perfect holiday gift for the Limoges collector. This will display beautifully.
